Sopot is a little town located in the Karlovo valley at the foot of Stara Planina mountains - a range that runs through the entire country. The valley itself is the east part of the famous Rose Valley. In the last 20 years Sopot has become a very popular place among paragliding and hanggliding pilots, especially due to the sunny slopes and the chair lift created for them.
The town is really charming, there are a couple of restaurants, shops a museum and a cinema there.
If you need some big city facilities, a commuter bus can take you to Karlovo.
In the nearby town of Banja you can indulge yourself in thermal baths, swimming-pools and SPAs.
