Brązowy medal Mistrzostw Europy dla Rafał Łuckosia!!

Rafał Łuckoś, startujący na skrzydle Ozone Mantra R10.2, zdobył dla Polski historyczny medal na odbywających się w dniach 23 maja - 5 czerwca 2010 w austryjackim Abtenau Mistrzostwach Europy. Jest to pierwszy medal zdobyty przez polskiego pilota w zawodach takie rangi (kategoria 1. FAI - mistrzostwa świata lub kontynentu). Warunki pogodowe pozwoliły na rozegranie 3 konkurencji, a Rafał w każdej z nich dolatywał na metę w pierwszej grupie. Pokazał, że jest w świetnej formie i możemy oczekiwać, że to nie ostatni tak wspaniały wyniki w jego wykonaniu. Mistrzem Europy został Luca Donini z Włoch, a na drugim miejscu uplasował się Alexander Schalber z Austrii (obaj na Matrach R10.2).

Tracks from all tasks were linked to overall results and are available for download in kml format. If you need and .igc file, just open the kml file with GPSdump and save it as igc. To convert to other formats you can use gpsbabel, a free converter.

Day 5/ Task 4

After yesterday's storm, weather today does not look very promising, but we will try to run a short task. Competitors ar mostly at takeoff already.

In the end it was possible to fly a very good task (although nobody believed it in the beginning) of 49 km with landing in Bania. 66 pilots at goal. Results in the Main Menu/Results.

Next Briefing at the Headquarters:

The Task is cancelled due to weather conditions.

At 20.00 we will be having a rescue and first aid training presented by a member of the Polish Tatra Mountain Resue Service. We're gathering by the Headquarters. If it's raining we'll hide at the cinema.
